Municipal Waterline Extension

Somerset Engineering was tasked with extending water from a local water authority to a small town that consisted of multiple failing private water systems. We were able to tap an 18” transmission line, feed a 500,000 gallon potable water storage tank, and eliminate all of the failing private water systems.

Potable Water Distribution System

A local governing body embarked on a mission to resolve decades long issues for many local municipalities within the county related to drought, regulatory compliance, and sustainable water supplies.   The water source contains approximately 10.5 billion gallons at capacity.  With a safe-yield in excess of 60 million gallons per day (mgd) (based on a 10-year drought cycle) the water source presented a solution to the problem of supply.
